這是一家位於台北板橋市區的路邊攤。雖然這間名為56巷口湯包館的小攤毫不起眼,但店主卻曾是台灣一家與鼎泰豐齊名的湯包店的師傅。店主的母親原先在附近工作,機緣巧合之下店主也決定離職回到這裡開始創業。

This is a roadside stall in Banqiao, Taipei. Although the stall, which is called Lane 56 soup dumpling restaurant, is not very impressive, the owner was once a master of a soup dumplings shop in Taiwan, which is as famous as Din Tai Fung. The owner’s mother used to work nearby. By chance, the owner decided to leave his job and start a business here.

正所謂萬事起頭難,著名湯包店的名聲並不會給製作湯包的師傅帶來多少人氣,畢竟客人認的是招牌而不是師傅。小攤剛起步時,有時甚至一天才賣出去兩籠。雖然一度想要放棄,但店主咬牙撐到現在,七年的時間,店鋪的生意才慢慢有了起色。隨著一些美食博主在ins和其他平台上的宣傳,店裡情況更是蒸蒸日上。然而正當生意好轉之時,店主母親卻被查出罹患大腸癌,好在發現較早,情況尚能控制。即使患病,母親還是放心不下兒子,經常會去店裡幫忙。生意繁忙之餘若有對客人招呼不周,LATTE還請大家多多包涵

As the saying goes, everything is difficult at first. The reputation of a famous soup dumpling shop does not bring much popularity to the master who makes the soup dumplings. After all, the customers recognize the signboard rather than the master. When the stall started, sometimes it even sold only two baskets a day. Although once wanted to give up, but the shopkeeper gritted his teeth until now, seven years later, the shop’s business has slowly improved. With the promotion of some food vloggers on ins and other platforms, the situation in the store is booming. However, just as the business improved, the owner’s mother was found to have colorectal cancer. Fortunately, it was discovered earlier and the situation was still under control. Even she is ill, the mother still worrys about her son and often goes to the store to help. Please forgive them if you don’t get greeted well.

蝦仁燒賣是店裡的招牌之一,使用當天新鮮現剝的蝦仁,將一整支蝦仁放在燒賣凹洞中。蒸熟後的燒賣光澤誘人,晶瑩剔透,仿佛一件藝術品。但蝦仁燒賣成本較高,因此店裡只能限量供應。美味不限量的麻辣小湯包是店裡另外一個特色,也深受大家喜愛歡迎。

Shrimp Shaomai is one of the shop’s signature products, using fresh shelled shrimp, putting a whole shrimp on top of Shaomai. After steaming, it will be shining, crystal clear, like a work of art. But the cost is high, so the store can only supply limited. Spicy soup dumplings with unlimited delicacy is another feature of the shop, which is also very popular.

Latte自己也身患大腸癌,拍攝期間和店主的媽媽聊了很久很久。小小一間店,背後飽含了多少酸甜苦辣。轉念一想,又有誰的生活不是呢?
